In this week, I was continue my task in the sales process. I do the RFQ, Purchase Order, Delivery Order and Invoice. I was monitored by En.Alastayr and En.Roymi in order to avoid mistake.
They also teach me how to use the ERP system that contained the data about the sales process.
WEEK 7 (14dec-18dec)


In 17 December, I learned the new things. I helped them in "Stock Count" activity. I was monitored by En.Roymi to count the stock. From this activities, I know the type of Cable, the size of Cable and many more.
WEEK 6 (7nov-11nov)
After I completed the task given by En.Khafid Masduki, En. Jazli and En.Nasaruddin brought me to the Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Jalan Timur to meet the clients. From that meeting, I know how to faced with the clients and how to handled the situation effectively.

WEEK 5 (30nov-4dec)
Receive inquiry from the customer and record in the log book
Reply to the customer in writing to excuse from quoting if not within
product range
If yes, checking customer’s background and cable specification
Prepare RFQ Customer’s product info shall be filled up for committee
evaluation
Prepare costing sheet in order to decide product pricing and payment term
If decision by committee not to proceed, ten excuse from quoting
If yes, the quote to the customer and indicate all terms and condition
If necessary call for a negotiation with customer
If unsuccessful ,then excuse from supply
In successful, then customer will give award letter/ order.
Acceptance and review on commercial terms.
Then customer will proceed with purchase order after we accept the order.
Issue works order to the planning unit. Need approval from MD.
Planning will decide based on committee’s decision, either we go for
In-House Production or we go for OEM /Sub process
First of all, Puan Syaidatul ask me to do the Request For Customer (RFQ. After I complete the RFQ, I send the sheet to the Finance Department to get the Costing sheet. Costing Unit will produce the Costing Sheet. This sheet contains of the market price for the raw material. When I get the costing sheet, I prepared the RFQ for the customer. The RFQ should have the information that the customer want send by fax in the Inquiry Form. In this week, I have to prepared a lot of RFQ that monitored by Puan syaidatul. She gave me the teach and guidance in order to avoid mistakes.
WEEK 4 (23nov-27nov)

This cable are used for underground. For that reason, are cable used for underground are more durability. XLPE Cable are main product of the Tenaga Cable Industries. Another factory that contribute more profit in this company is OPGW Cable.


OPGW Cable used for telecommunication systems with high capacity and reliability can be obtained because the optical fibers used have low loss and increased bandwidth compared with metallic conductors and are free from electromagnetic interference.Other than that, OPGW are economical systems can be achieved because power transmission and signal transmission are possible simultaneously, by one transmission line.
From visiting the factory, I learned something that I never know before. First of all I know the process of the cable, and then the uses of the cable and at the same time I know that there are many cable in the world.
The next day, I was placed at Sales and Marketing Department to continue my Internship. I report to the General Manager of Sales and Marketing Department, En Khafid Masduki. And then, I was supervisored by En.Alastayr Zahery. As usual, I was introduced to the staff of the department. They told me the work done by the Sales and Marketing Department. In addition, En. Alastayr was told me the sales process in the company. In this week, they just brief me about the general view of the sales process to make it easier to me to involve in the process after this.
WEEK3 (16nov-20nov)
Shitsuke. 5S is a very popular productivity improvement program in Japan
today, and is becoming popular in many other countries for the following solid reasons, the workplace becomes clean and better organized,results are visible to everyone - insiders and outsiders, visible results enhance the generation of more, and new ideas, people are naturally disciplined, operations on the shop-floor and office become easier and safer, people become proud of their clean and organized workplace and as a result the company s good image generates more business.

First is sorting. Sorting is the process that involves selecting what you need to complete the job and removing everything else from your work area. Second is set, arrange remaining items so they are easy to select, use and return to their proper location . Third is shine. Shining is powerful because its purpose is to find the reason why things become dirty. Emphasis is on the removal of dust, dirt and grime to reveal the source and eliminate it. And then standardize. Standardizing creates are work are free from checklists, if good standards are put in a place it will easier to maintain and continue improving. Last but not least is sustain. Sustaining is the end result of how well we have performed the previous S's. In sustainment stage, thinks of ways to eliminate effort in maintaining an area. I was learned the principle of 5's and then try to practice it in the company. At the end of the month, the person in charge will check every department to give mark on the use of 5's.
After I learned the principle of 5's, they gave another task related to the concept. First of all, I arrange the file in a proper manner to make it easier to them to find the data. And then, I creates a labels to the file and all the things in this offices. It make them to find the things they want in a easier ways. By the end of this week, I found that the office environment change a little bit after all the principle of 5's are adapted.
